The parts have arrived in Osaka City and should arrive at my house in the next few days. As soon as they arrive I will post an update here.

Draco Centre Diff Set (Gears and Outdrives), and Draco Diff Cases

The parts were confirmed shipped on Thursday 26th September. I expect them to take 5-7 days to reach me here in Japan. I will continue to update you here when I receive any new information.

Draco Centre Diff Set (Gears and Outdrives), and Draco Diff Cases

After speaking with the manufacturer today, I was told the parts will be shipped to me tomorrow. As mentioned before the Outdrives and Diff Cases have already passed QC and they have checked the gears. Approximately half of them do not need to be remanufactured so they will be all shipped back to me. This means when I receive the parts I can start shipping them to customers!! (Finally…). The gears that need to be remanufacturer will be sent at a later date. There will be a further week or so until I receive the parts in Japan.

I will of course be rechecking the parts once I receive them, but I have been assured by the manufacturer that each part has been checked and they have passed QC. Please stay tuned to this page for updates and follow my Facebook page and Instagram.

Draco Centre Diff Set (Gears and Outdrives), Draco Diff Cases.

After speaking with the supplier today I was told the outdrives and diff cases are ready. The pin holes have been checked on the outdrives and the pin now freely moved through with little resistance. The Diff cases have had the threads checked and chamfered.

In regards to the gears, I have still not received the sample parts. Instead they have isolated some gears that have passed inspection and plan to send these to me to check. Depending on the number and if they pass my inspection, I plan to ship these in customer’s complete orders based on when the orders were made.

Draco Centre Diff Set, Draco Savage XL Flux TVPS and Draco Diff Case

The Centre Diff Set plates and TVPs arrived yesterday. I checked through them and test fitted them in the vehicle all the features check out. I am using a different supplier for the plates and TVPs so I have received them earlier.

The diff cases and outdrives have been checked and adjusted and I am told they are complete as of today. The company will send me a sample 52T Spur gear to check before reproducing them. They told me it will take about a month to make all the gears again. I am hoping that it is sooner as I am eager to ship everything.

Draco Centre Diff Set 2024 and Draco Diff Case

The factory has received the gears, outdrives and diff cases back. They are having a meeting today to discuss the next step. I hope to hear later today or tomorrow about their plan to fix the parts.

Another factory has completed the Draco Centre Diff Plates and TVPs. Unfortunately their were some colour mismatches between the lower and upper plates. I was presented the option of keeping them as is or anodising them black. I asked a few customers in a Facebook post I made yesterday (September 3rd) so thank you everyone who left a comment is helped me make a decision. A majority of people were not bothered by the colour change and some people also said black is preferable. I have communicated this choice to the manufacturer and they will anodize black. The plates will only need to be Laser marked and go through QC then they will be ready to ship to me.

Draco Centre Diff Set and Draco Diff Case

On Monday August 26th the parts arrived. There were three parts in this lot, the 52T Spur Gear and Outdrives for the Draco Centre Diff Set and there were the Draco Diff Cases. I went ahead and did my usual checks following my drawings to check all essential features and confirming the dimensions were in spec. I found one issue with the outdrives and multiple issues with the 52T Spur Gear. The issues with the spur gear will make it unbalanced and pretty much useless. I then took a look at the diff case and found inconsistencies with the threads and the thread locations making the diff case sit off-centre of the gear and cap.

I communicated these errors with the manufacturer and they will take the parts back to inspect and correct. This may mean remaking some parts or doing further work on the current parts. I am hoping to get the parts picked up tomorrow (August 30th, 2024) and they will go back to the manufacturer for inspection and alterations.
