Product Overview

The Draco Savage XL Flux TVPs are a new option available as an upgrade or included in the Draco Savage Electric Conversion Kit. The TVPs are made of Aluminum 7075-T6 and hard anodized for wear resistance and durability. They are 4mm thick for a balance of weight savings and strength. The Draco Savage XL Flux TVPs are NOT COMPATIBLE WITH the stock HPI85052 Centre Gearbox, instead the TVPs are optimized for the Draco Centre Diff Set 2024 and the Alza Racing Centre Differential Kit. To further customise your rig, customers also have the option of a Draco Rear ESC Mount and the Draco Servo Plate with Radio box. Draco Savage Electric Conversion Kit

The Draco Savage Electric Conversion kit is a new product available for customers who would like to convert an existing Nitro Savage Platform to an electric platform. Although the Kit includes MOST of what you need to complete the conversion there are still some parts the customer will need to purchase separately. The Draco Centre Diff includes an ESC mount which is mounted above the Centre Diff or for customers wanting to mount their ESC at the rear, the Draco Rear ESC Mount is also available.

  • Draco Centre Diff Set

    DRA-200 Draco Centre Diff Set

    The Draco Centre Diff Set is designed for the Savage Series and Savage based platforms. It is a custom set that replaces the stock centre transmission. You are able to use a Centre Diff which simplifies the drive-line and adds additional tuning and gearing options. The stock HPI diff case (HPI86827) is compatible with the included Draco 52T Spur Gear. The included ESC Mount is located at the top of the set, but the Centre Diff Set can also be installed without the ESC Mount. Other features include bearing-supported outdrives front and rear for additional support of the drive-line increasing reliability and durability.

  • Draco ESC Rear Mount

    DRA-209 Draco Rear ESC Mount

    Made of 3d printed resin the Draco ESC Rear Mount is available as an option for the Draco Electric Conversion Kit. Mounting the ESC in the rear allows better access to the centre diff and keeps the ESC protected.

  • Draco Servo Plate and Radio Box

    DRA-215 Draco Servo Plate/Radio Box

    Made of Toray 3K 4mm thick carbon fibre, the Draco Servo plate adds rigidity to your steering and chassis. With weight savings also, you can enjoy an additional level of tunability for your Savage.

    The 3D Printed radio box is included with the Draco Carbon Fibre Servo Plate and houses the electronics and wiring. All hardware is included consisting of M3x12mm Button head screws and M3 Nuts for the Radio Box Lid. M4x20mm Button Head screws to mount the radio box to the plate and M4x12mm Button Head Screws to mount the rear brace to the plate.

ESC Mounting Options

Centre Mounted ESC

The Draco ESC Mount (DRA-207) is included in the Draco Centre Diff Set and mounts above the centre diff and pinion.

Centre ESC Mount Advantages

  • Easier routing of ESC wires with a shorter distance between the radio box and ESC to avoid using any wire extensions

  • Added protection for the ESC especially if you run the stock handle with is highly recommended

  • Motor wires are easily connected to the ESC

  • Mounts easily with included hardware

  • No additional holes needed in TVPs as it mounts to the Draco Centre Diff Set itself (Perfect for customers who want to get bashing as soon as possible and already have a Savage Flux Platform)

  • Can be mounted in two different positions

  • Not as exposed to dirt and debris

Centre ESC Mount Disadvantages

  • Limits access to pinion and motor for gear mesh adjustments

  • More difficult to monitor the gears and conduct maintenance

  • Sits up high which raises CG

Rear Mounted ESC

The Draco Rear ESC Mount (DRA-209) is an optional part for the Draco Savage XL Flux TVPs and Draco Savage XL Flux Electric Conversion Kit.

Rear Mounted ESC Advantages

  • Allows better access to the gears for quick adjustments and maintenance

  • Better cooling

  • Sits lower for better CG

  • Adds more weight at rear for better front to rear balance

Rear Mounted ESC Disadvantages

  • Additional wire extensions required

  • More exposed to dirt and debris
