Overview:

The Draco diff case was designed with the HPI Savage vehicles in mind. The Draco Diff Case is also compatible with the HPI Hellfire, HPI Trophy Series, HPI Vorza series and the Hot Bodies Lightning GTX2. It’s two-piece design allows you to rebuild and maintain the diff easily and quickly. You only need to remove one side of the diff to add shims which dramatically reduces shimming time. The Draco case accepts the 8x16x5 bearing on the cap side, replacing the 10x16x5 bearing, now both sides of the diff use the same size bearing increasing reliability.

In 2023 the Draco Diff Case was updated. The Draco Diff now uses 2.5x18mm pins to contain the 4x27mm shafts and spider gears. This design saves money on production and adds durability and reliability to the inner components. Once the pins are worn you can simply replace them and continue bashing. The pins are keyed into the Draco Diff Case providing support to the assembly.

Please note: When using larger 5th scale wheels and tyres, parts wear increases due to the extra weight.

Please note: The Draco Diff Case does not fit the stock HPI centre transmission. The Diff Cap makes contact with the transmission and causes binding. The Draco Centre Diff Set and Alza Racing Centre Diff Kit are compatible with the Draco Diff Case.
